I am trying to install 2008.11 with Parallels build 4.03810 (Jan 23, 2009) and cannot get it to boot consistently. I own parallels, and so am not interested in vitualbox.
With 2 CPUs and 1024MB RAM configured for the virtual machine, the 2008.11 iso panics on boot with: panic[cpu0]/thread = fffffffffbc2a8a0: BAD TRAP: type=d (#gp General Protection) rp=fffffffffbc4dd10 addr=d dump aborted and also reports: pcplusmp: mod_remove_by_name failed 16 Using 1 CPU and 512MB RAM the virtual machine will boot and install, but the installed image then panic's on boot with the above error message. Is this a known problem, and is there anything that can be done? Thanks, Byron -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
