re: backup I cannot write to a data DVD as Brasero gives an error. It can write CD only. All drivers are reported to be fine.
Anyway, I crossed my fingers and just added the Linux swap with rpool and it works without a problem, super simple: sudo rpool create pool2 /dev/dsk/c0d0p4 now I have /pool2 directory and it is perfectly usable and super fast about 5 time faster than XP. no need to re-install anything. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
