32-bit or 64-bit it doesn't matter, the OS automatically selects the right one. I successfully installed CE, Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris on systems with 64-bit Intels (Q6600) and older 32-bit Xeons. The only thing you might notice is that some install media always select 32-bit to boot from. Once the OS is successfully installed the OS should be rightly configuerd. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
