Hello! I've set up an opensolaris b97 file server sharing between a Windows/Ubuntu box and an ultra10 running Solaris 10 11/06(a web server). I've also never used ACLs before.
Right now, things are shared in such a way that the windows box can write things on the proper shared directories, but the web server cannot see them due to ACL issues. If i log into the zfs file server and manually chmod them, everything works fine. The permissions for a directory, for example, written by the windows machine, is displayed as d---------+ . What I would like to do is a) be able to write and read things on the zfs file server with both the solaris web server and the windows box b) have a few web home directories on the web server, shared from the zfs file server, that are chrooted. Any help on any of these issues is greatly apprecciated! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
