Thank you for such quick help, but on this freshly installed system it isn't.

bash-3.2# /usr/bin/pkg
bash: /usr/bin/pkg: No such file or directory
bash-3.2# ls /usr/bin/pkg*
/usr/bin/pkg-config /usr/bin/pkginfo /usr/bin/pkgproto
/usr/bin/pkgadm /usr/bin/pkgmk /usr/bin/pkgtrans
/usr/bin/pkgcond /usr/bin/pkgparam

I installed the Solaris Express CE from this page:
http://opensolaris.org/os/downloads/ - the 1 Segment DVD delivery. Should I
have tried something else?
