That of course is OpenSolaris the Distro, as opposed to the code-base, which is (except for items like the repository-based IPS packaging system and a few others (some of which might be more desktop-oriented anyway) ) mostly common with SXCE, which would still have the good zfs stuff, Live Upgrade, zones, ksh93 integrated, etc. and would run fine on SPARC; I'm running snv_97 of SXCE just fine on a Sun Blade 2000, which except for keyboard, mouse, and frame buffer vs RSC, and the case, is just about identical to a 280R server. I see plenty of sun4v stuff in the code, so while I don't know of my own experience, I expect it would run fine on the T1000. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
