There are various web references to GUI tools for managing ZFS avalable via the java web console e.g. http://blogs.sun.com/talley/entry/manage_zfs_from_your_browser.
But on my system there is no smcwebserver program and no daemon listening on port 6789 As far as I know the install (2005.8 5.11 snv_86) went fine with no errors and I have since installed just about every package I can find in IPS.
