hi

This is a tricky question that i had to
ask this Forum and the BSD Forum.

1) i was unable to view my drives from Windows Vista with UFS Explorer.
2) i was unable to mount them under FreeBSD

i have made 3 UFS Disks Slices using
Fdisk From Open Solaris.
i made them all solaris2

They all mount perfectly fine on Open Solaris,

But in FreeBSD i keep getting invalid arguments or
something like that when trying to mount In BSD.

i made the directory mkdir /goodies

i had used this line in fstab file of FreeBSD

/dev/sd4s1 /goodies ufs rw 0 0

mount /goodies

when i did ls /dev/sd*
i found sd4 and sd4a so i tried both.

Please give me an example line of how to add a slice of UFS for BSD.

Here is a portions of my Vfstab from solaris and the available slices
that i have mounted on a solaris box

/dev/dsk/c6d1s0 - /crap ufs - no rw
/dev/dsk/c4d0s0 - /goodies ufs - no rw
/dev/dsk/c5d0s0 - /whatever ufs - no rw

# old-info for ntfs drives only before /dev/dsk/c2d1p1 - /crap ntfs -no ro

Thank You
