I installed opensolaris on my ThinkPad R61 yesterday. I ran into a few
glitches. The first was wireless internet. The Live CD found my wireless
network no problem. After installing the OS, it found the network again, but
eventually dropped it for an unknown reason. The Network preference was
unavailable (because nwam was enabled), so I opened a Terminal and scanned. My
network was there. I kept typing wificonfig connect "myessid" over and over
again but it didn't want to connect. Finally after one of the failures, it
brought up that little GUI box with all available networks in it. Dont know how
that popped up, but I selected my network and was OK again for a while. Then I
went through the whole thing again a few more times. Anyone know how to make
that GUI thing popup? Or how to make the wireless connection more stable?

Sound doesn't work. The Device Manager says Intel 82801H driver misconfigured.
How do I properly configure it so I can hear sound?

Other than that, opensolaris is AWESOME. I like it much better than opensuse.
It looks great, and is easy to work with. I wish there was more software
available, but I want to stick with it.
