It appears that on the Vaio PCG-K37, OpenSolaris has serious issues with the Ali chipset.
As best as I can tell, the IDE controller is detected as a simplex device, but no drives are detected (hard disk or CD-ROM). There's not much (really nothing) I can change in the BIOS which might help, so it looks like I'm stuck on this one. Thanks for the help. John This message posted from opensolaris.org
