I've been having trouble getting my OpenSolaris machine to power off. Hitting the power button or clicking shut down in Gnome results in the same thing. It goes through "syncing filesystem - done" and then just sits there, non responsive. The only thing I can do is hold down the power button down for a few seconds to force it turn off.
I've had a different OS on this machine previously and it was able to power down, so I'm fairly sure its not a hardware issue. I've seen some other posts with this issue, but no reason or solution. Can anyone help me out? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
