huh.....i found the solution.....after months of having to
ctrl-alt-backspace to restart the X server.

If you just enter nvidia-xconfig, it will overwrite with a new xorg.conf
inside /etc/X11/ that result in X not being to start up completely.

Next, I copied the xorg.conf from /media/Opensolaris/jack/xorg.conf.vesa
(2009.06 CD) to overwrite the default /etc/X11/xorg.conf, the screensaver
now is able to restart, and prompt for password entry and fonts all seemed
sharper and smaller.   Good!!!
