Hmm, interesting. I wonder if this is a bug with the
intel iommu code itself, or if the intel iommu code
is just catching a device driver bug for the device
driver of device "PCI(5, 0, 0)".

What device is reported by scanpci -v at 
"bus 0x5 cardnum 0x0 function 0x0" ?
Is that the compaq smart array controller ?

Yes, the "-B intel-iommu=no" boot option could be added
to the /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst file.
