Dear All, I am very new for OpenSolaris. I am using OpenSolaris 09.06, i am facing problem when i use to switch to manual configuration of Network Adapter it goes to disable mode i tried to the configuration but it was hard luck for me. what i am trying to do is following :-
1. I go to the manual configuration of Network Adapter choose Static IP 2. Putting Static IP : 192.168.1.2 3. Setting up Subnet Mask :- 255.255.255.0 4. Setting Default Gateway :- 192.168.1.1 5. When i go to DNS :- it is open to write but when i finish my typing of DNS server address it goes to disappear. Anyway I checked Option "Activate On Boot" but no luck. When i reboot my system it shows me the Network Interface is disconnected. Then i started searching on Forum however i got some replies but all are gone in vane no use. I also tried changing the file /etc/nwam/llp previously it was rtls0 dhcp i changed it to rtls0 static 192.168.1.2 but still no luck Kindly show me the way how could i set my Internet Access Properties on Network Adapter I am living in India and using Airtel Broadband. Here is my Network Adapter Configuration On Windows IP :- 192.168.1.2 Subnet Mask :- 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway :- 192.168.1.1 DNS 1 :- 202.56.215.54 DNS 2 :- 202.56.215.55 Kindly help me stepwise as i am new for OpenSolari and take my details and add these where i need to add in real. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
