Hi all,

I have a HP NC6320c laptop on which i have tried to install Open Solaris 2009.6
for about 6 times and each time the system became very unresponsive.
This morning it finally managed to install itself but after awhile one CPU is
totally pegged by the kernel.

This is the same symptom i've experienced during installation.

Top reports that i have a Zombie process but i can't make out what i should be
looking for.

During some googling i came about a Dtrace command:

lockstat -kIW -D 20 sleep 30

Dtrace gave an error saying systemic unresponsiveness.

Anybody got a clue how i could figure out what is causing this?

Ubuntu 9.10 runs fine on the same hardware and Windows has also run fine on
this hardware so i don't that is the issue.

Regards,

Kor
