Hi- I am seeking help getting multipathing configured for the V490. Anyone here using iscsi-HBA's ? My setup consists of 2 Sun Fire V490's with 2 single port QLogic-4050c iSCSI HBA's installed in slots 0 & 1 (2 in each v490). These 490's attach to a NetApp acting as the target.
The guide that I've been following is here... http://docs.sun.com/source/819-0139/ch_3_admin_multi_devices.html#pgfId-1000498 Now that seems to be FC centric but it was linked to another doc that was for iSCSI but through the SW/initiator. That other doc is http://www.sun.com/blueprints/1205/819-3730.pdf I get the following output when i run mpathadm.. [root at db02sun /]#mpathadm list initiator-port *Initiator Port: 210000144fb80a22* *Initiator Port: ,4000002a00ff* Shouldn't there be an initiator listed? Further, when i use the stmsboot command, only the local hardrives seem to be enabled as multipath. non-STMS device name STMS device name -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /dev/rdsk/c1t1d0 /dev/rdsk/c4t2000001D3851DB64d0 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c4t2000001D3851DDADd0 I am probalby missing something that needs to be configured but after many hours of looking I've not located it.
