Hi all, I'm fairly new to opensolaris so please bear with me; I 'had' opensolaris 5.11 running and was looking to get CIFS working. Webmin was enabled and also SSH.
I found a sun wiki explaining how to enable browsing with samba (on solaris)and followed that wiki http://wikis.sun.com/display/BigAdmin/Enabling+Browsing+with+Samba+in+Solaris+10+Update+4. Upon rebooting (via webmin) the system won't boot anymore. No message nothing - It seems it won't complete grub. The grub menu shows 3 boot options I tried all three, with none booting. Next I started to compare the boot options, and noticed in the last entry some stuff was wrong (at least I guess) because it stated AMD64 instead of i386. Booting with the live cd works, and I can access the harddisk OS. I thought of reinstalling grub following this blog http://blogs.sun.com/avinashjoshi/entry/mount_opensolaris_zfs_partition_and This won't work as I get: rpool - UNAVAILABLE newer version What can I do to recover my system?
