It's a great idea! Thank you! Unfortunately i did not done it before i
reinstall the system...i thought i did all that can be imaged :)

But i have a few questions for you:
1. You wrote that GRUB can load the chooser splashimage if it knows the name of
ZFS default bootfs, so how GRUB could load my system without problem if it does
not know ZFS bootfs? (I wrote that my system loading fine and only splashimage
were not shown).

2. Do you know that if you install opensolaris os and than delete partition
where opansolaris was just installed with any kind of hard drive editor
(Acronics disk doctor for example), than reboot the PC and you will find that
GRUB is left in mbr with splashimage in background!!! How could it be without
loading splashimage to mbr?

So, I don't think that bootfs number of opensolaris influences on splashimage
loading if os can be load without problems.
In my own opinion, problem that i had was the problem with GRUB, namely its
part already installed in mbr, but why it were not reinstalled after
grubinstall option, to be honest, i do not know, and that is the question i
want to find an answer.
