Hi All I just about to buy the supermicro X8DT3-LN4F for Opensolaris 2009.6 and noticed the the NIC using 82576 is not likely to work.
Looks like a newer development build will support it. I was going to use opensolaris for production use (ZFS) but am weary of using a development build for production. Is it possible to get a updated driver without upgrading the entire 2009.6 stack. The reason I choose X8DT3 are: a. The build in video interface (if it does not work I will use a old card) b. It has 4NIC port c. It has ipmi d. It has 8 port SAS (the most important factor) e. 96G ECC memory support. f. Nehalem CPU Help or comments about my selection are welcome.
