I have a machine with 8 gb ram that has 3 raidz2 vdevs in a pool. I was
originally using xen on this machine because i was having trouble getting some
software to work in a opensolaris zone. This problem has been solved.

I am on b132 so to use xen, i just used the milestone. I noticed that my arc
was set at 1.5gb max when using xen, so i thought this was due to the xen
milestone. I disabled xen but the arc is still set to 1.5gb max, is there a
reason for this? shouldn't it be higher? i thought arc was set to max out
around 3/4's of your ram.

I'm getting this info from the arc_summery script. So my questions are:

what is a safe level to set my arc to?

why is it set so low by default?

ZFS Tunables (/etc/system):

ARC Size:
         Current Size: 958 MB (arcsize)
Target Size (Adaptive): 958 MB (c)
Min Size (Hard Limit): 191 MB (zfs_arc_min)
Max Size (Hard Limit): 1529 MB (zfs_arc_max)
