What does format -> partition ->print say about your disk? It should look like this: Part Tag Flag Cylinders Size Blocks 0 root wm 3 - 60796 465.71GB (60794/0/0) 976655610 1 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 2 backup wu 0 - 60796 465.73GB (60797/0/0) 976703805 3 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 4 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 5 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 6 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 7 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 8 boot wu 0 - 0 7.84MB (1/0/0) 16065 9 alternates wm 1 - 2 15.69MB (2/0/0) 32130
Note, s2, backup partition, covers the whole disk. The pool contains 2 s0 devices, and grub , as I remember, should be installed on s2 device... > Ok I did an installgrub on my mirrored boot disk like > so: > > NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM > rpool ONLINE 0 0 0 > mirror ONLINE 0 0 0 > c4d0s0 ONLINE 0 0 0 > c5d0s2 ONLINE 0 0 0 > > > nebol at filez:/boot/grub$ installgrub stage1 stage2 > /dev/rdsk/c5d0s2 > raw device must be a root slice (not s2) -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
