"AMD64" in this case refers to the x86 instruction set with
the 64-bit extensions called either AMD64 or EM64T depending
on which vendor's CPU you are using.
Even if you're running on a 32-bit only x86, you build for
both 32-bit and 64-bit so that the result can be installed
on either one.
