Actually, my PERC3/QC has yet to be supported under Solaris. It's a
rebranded LSI Megaraid Enterprise 1600.

No, it's too old, the current Solaris drivers support PERC3 and newer. It
may work with the correct alias, but you won't be able to install on one.
