repking, thanks for the thread you mentioned. They suggested disabling the RAID functionality of the PERC 4e/Di and putting it into SCSI mode which I did, and Solaris picked the drives up fine. This is a good temporary fix but it would be nice if this was 'bugged' in some way so the dev's know that it is not working as intended.
