No, it is quite possible to have Solaris and Fedora on the same disk -- 
assuming you're talking about a version of Solaris that uses GRUB to boot (such 
as Solaris Express). I highly recommend you install a Linux distribution of 
your choice first, and then install Solaris. However, remember that the version 
of GRUB included with Solaris doesn't support many of the filesystems that some 
Linux operating systems do. This means that you may have to install GRUB into a 
partition instead of a boot sector in some cases.
