I'm trying to move my OpenSolaris installation to a larger disk. I created a .flar archive with flarcreate and the restore procedure (using the GUI installer on the SXCE b44 DVD) fails at the very end, leaving me with an unbootable installation (no boot block). The install log shows:
--- Error: sh: ./cleanup-scn-base: not found ... ERROR: Error while processing custom script - cd /tmp/flash_tmp/postdeployment;./cleanup-scn-base ERROR: Postdeployment processing failure ERROR: Flash installation failed --- The first error message is at the top of the log, then the rest looks normal, then I get the three ERROR lines at the bottom. The same thing happens if I try to install the FLAR from FTP or from tape. Looking at the root filesystem after the failed install, I see that /etc/flash/postdeployment/cleanup-scn-base is a symlink to /usr/lib/scn/bin/cleanup-scn-base. That doesn't seem right: shouldn't "cleanup-scn-base" be a regular file so that there isn't a problem with a broken symlink when the installer tries to run the script from /tmp/flash_tmp/postdeployment? I'll investigate further after work tonight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
