Hello all,

I am trying to install OpenSolaris (644) on a Lanner 7550
(http://www.lannerinc.com/product_detail.php?products_id=160&cPath=85).

This is an full-intel powered appliance based on a Celeron 1,2ghz, a 852GM
chipset, a 82541 ethernet controler, and a flash adapter, there is no graphic
chip so the installation as to be made by using the serial port.

So overall it's just a very standard PC wihout vga, nothing really exotic. I've
already been using this kind of hardware to setup OpenBSD and it works smoothly.

My idea here is to use it as a file server by adding a firewire card and hard
drives and installing OpenSolaris on a 1GB flashcard.

When I try to install, I start minicom on my Debian and it goes like this :

- System bios appears, followed by Grub, there I choose "Solaris serial
console install ttya"

- And then it goes like this :

.........................

At this point Minicom goes Offline and the Lanner box display no sign of
activity.

I wonder if the reason is that at some point the installer change the baud rate
on the fly? Both minicom and the motherboard are set to work with 9600bd.

(btw I tried the Installation check CD but it hung, also..)

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)
