Just to clarify, I would be creating a project database and assigning my
zones
to a particular project with resource controls like the following
partial list.

 project.max-shm-ids
 project.max-msg-ids
 project.max-sem-ids
 project.max-shm-memory
 process.max-sem-nsems
 process.max-sem-ops
 process.max-msg-qbytes
 project.max-device-locked-memory
 project.max-port-ids
 process.max-port-events

Do I understand this correctly? Would I also be correct in assuming
that this must be configured in the global zone?

You don't. Those tunables have been superceded by resource controls.

I'd like assistance with tuning Solaris 10 kernel for non-global zones.

Under Solaris 8, the
/etc/system file allowed me to set

shmsys:shminfo_shmmax
shmsys:shminfo_shmmin
shmsys:shmmni
shmsys:shmseg
shmsys:semmni
shmsys:semmns
shmsys:semmsl
noexec_user_stack
noexec_user_stack_log
sys:coredumpzise
nfssrv:nfs_portmon

What is the best way to set these in non-global zones? Would the
global zone /etc/system
file apply to the non-global zones? Should these attributes be
assigned to a project and then
associate a zone with a project? Can these be set in the non-global
zone /etc/system file?
