Thank you for your response. I did attempt to follow those instructions but the nature of the problem did not appear to be the same. By default the interface was already listed in the /boot/solaris/devicedb/master and it also appeared to included in /etc/driver_aliases.
As far as BUG ID/ RFE this will take me a while. I have urgent needs relating to current coursework and had to reclaim the space I had allocated for Solaris for another operating system. Assuming I reinstall Solaris, are there any suggestions on how I can copy the output requested to a computer with Internet access? I'm afraid that if I retype the output I may introduce errors.
