If you want to stop dtlogin from automatically starting, the correct method
is /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -d, which will either remove the rc2.d links or will
use the SMF svcadm commands, depending on which method is being used to start
dtlogin (S10U3 & Nevada/Solaris Express both use SMF now, so there are no
rc2.d links any more).

Try mv /etc/rc2.d/S99dtlogin /etc/rc2.d/d.S99dtlogin; /etc/rc2.d/d.S99dtlogin stop

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to permanently disable the CDE (Common Desktop Environment) from loading. Guy
