Hi all,
Whenever I install a workstation, I run a little script that
sets up a few things for me, including local names for my
remote (network) printer, which is controlled by a machine
called "printhost" (imaginative, eh?). Here're the relevent
lines from the script:
echo "Setting up printers"
lpadmin -p laser1 -s printhost!laser1
lpadmin -p laser1d -s printhost!laser1d
lpadmin -p laser1mp -s printhost!laser1mp
lpadmin -p laser1mpd -s printhost!laser1mpd
lpadmin -d laser1
This usually works fine, but running it on b53 gives me an
error:
laser1: undefined printer
If it helps, the print server is a Solaris 9 machine running
Lexmark's MarkVision SW, and my build 41 and 42 machines could
print to it just fine.
