That only worked half-way. The colours did improve a bit, but still they're not
24 bit.
I tried playing around with m64config and I got 24 bit colour on 800x600. I
tried changing to 1024x768, but for some reason I got 1152x900 instead. I would
be happy with 1024x768 if I could get 24 bit colour with it, but I can't seem
to get m64config to use it instead of 1152x900. Is there a way to make it use
1024x768, or is this a monitor/card related problem?
I looked at the Ultra 10 specifications
(http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/Systems/U10/components.html) for
graphics cards. There are 11 different cards certified for use, ranging
from 8 bit color to 24 bit color 3D. Which card do you have? Issue the
command "/usr/sbin/prtconf -F" to get a clue which card. Also reading
the man page for "m64config", if you issue the command "m64config
-prconf" it will output all possible resolutions and depths. What does
that output say? Also send the output of "m64config -propt", this will
tell the current settings.
