Hi all
I am new to OpenSolaris and have a some of questions.
1. I am wondering if there is such a beast as a package manager for solaris? I
am thinking of something like apt, synaptic or similar.
Yes and no, it depends on the distribution. Nexenta does have apt at
least, though.
2. does OpenSolaris have a sudo or su type of system for an admin level user.
There is su and sudo can optionally be installed (or may be installed
by default, again depending on your distribution.)
3. Is there an admin tool for giving admin level. (I am running in root and
would like to have my own regular account with password.)
You can create a regular user account with the `useradd' command, and
then use su or sudo whenever you need root. You can also use SMC as a
gui tool for creating users but I'm not familiar with it.
4. Is there a good wiki for getting started?

Hope that helps!
