I suspect it may be a bug in the accelerated nVidia driver included with Solaris then.
Postings I've found on the 'net seem to confirm this: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=79577 The solution appears to be to change your xorg.conf file to set Option "HWCursor" "off".
