Using command-line from dtlogin:
/usr/dt/bin/dtlogin -d<ENTER>
svcadm enable gdm<ENTER>
Logged in as root using gdmlogin
changed/Added Themes using 'gdmsetup' via menu system
Messed with Welcome string /etc/X11/gdm/custom.conf
Logged Out/In numerous times testing Welcome string on gdlogin splash screen.
Shutdown until next morning
Boot....Can't open Display
(Able to successfully start /usr/dt/bin/dtlogin from console....if that means 
anything)
Found following error in log:

SUNWxorg-server package version: 6.9.0.5.11.5700,REV=0.2007.01.17
SUNWxorg-graphics-ddx package version: 6.9.0.5.11.5700,REV=0.2007.01.17

I assume this means gdmsetup, or greeter is having a problem?
How does one go about troubleshooting this...or is it easier to reset the 
defaults somehow?
