Hi, I'm trying to install Solaris 10 6/06 version on a HP DC5700 with the Intel Q965/Q963 Express Chipset and HP1740 Flat Screen. I've run all the HCL tests and it says Solaris should install, the only error it found was for the HD Soundcard. I've even configured the video with kdmconfig during the install process and the GUI works just fine, its not until the install is completed and it reboots into the Solaris system that the screen becomes garbled. Looks like maybe there is a refresh rate problem, lots of black and white lines with green squares intermixed. I've tried this install many times, using different settings but the final screens are still garbled and unreadable. At this point, if I could just get to a console window I could get done what I need to. But I do not know how to stop Solaris from trying to boot into XServer. I can only get to the FailSafe console, and seems there is very little I can do from here. Any help woudl be great, if we can not get the GUI to work, but you can get me to console screen on boot up, I would be very happy. Thanks Scott
