Stephen:
Thanks so much for answer in such a timely manner. Yes to
both queries.
I can ping the other machine (my wife's). Since this thread is on
Gmail I can access it anyware. At the moment I am working with
Slackware 11. Then I must feed our 6 horses and discuss our
house/farm with my wife. Too bad "reality" gets in the way <grin>.

Hello,
I am wondering if the function ddi_intr_get_supported_types( ) returns
supported interrupt types by the OS or the device? How do I know if a PCI card
can support MSI (messaged signaled interrupt)?
Lots of drivers use .conf file to enable/disable MSI interrupt, I am looking
for an auto detection method.

Do you have local connectivity (can you access your other local machine or
router by IP)? Do you have routing set up properly? These are both
configured pretty much exactly like Linux (ifconfig and route). Then, you
need to set up DNS which, slightly different from Linux, includes both the
/etc/resolv.conf file and the /etc/nsswitch.conf
