I've recently tried to install Solaris 10 on my Lenovo Thinkcentre A55 for which I have been using FreeBSD for the past year and a half. My machine will load the installer correctly, but when it comes to the selection of an install drive, it will not recognise my hard disk. Could it have something to do with the fact that my HDD is serial ata? Or could it be the chipset, because I haven't seen it listed on the Solaris 10 HCL. If this has any bearing on device recognition, the chipset is an Intel 946GZ. Also, does anyone know if Solaris includes drivers for the 946GZ's GMA 3000 graphics adapter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try out the Sun Device Detection Tool here: http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/device_detect.html This will help you find out what hardware is and is not supported. -- "Less is only more where more is no good." --Frank Lloyd Wright Shawn Walker, Software and Systems Analyst [EMAIL PROTECTED] - http://binarycrusader.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
