Dear all,
I have got a Solaris 10 11/06 dvd from sun.Installation is

it just hangs when login window is about to come.Whole screen is black

Hardware Detection tool says every driver is present except two
drivers.one is the sound card and other i dont know .I attached the
report.
First thing, this is a help group for OpenSolaris. For Solaris 10 11/06
you should respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . You can view that

Second thing, the first environment variable I set in Solaris 10 was in
my .profile and .dtprofile:
TMPDIR=/tmp
export TMPDIR
Sometimes gnome gets a temp file corrupt, so by setting its temp
directory in /tmp, it's always clean upon start up.
Also, most newsgroups and mail exploders don't allow attachments. If
you need to show an image, you have to put it on some server, or if it's
text, copy and paste it.
