I have successfully installed solaris express on my sony vaio vgn n350e. It was interesting getting the sound and network drivers to work. I have used linux for about 5 years and for various reasons have decided to force myself to use solaris express. Here is my question. How do I go about installing an application such as k3b? Will I have to check for all dependencies and then compile the application, or is there a package that can be installed? My google-fu has failed me on this thus far. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
blastwave.org may have what your'e looking for. In this case, you don't even need k3b if you're just going to burn ISO images.
