Hi,
I just upgraded from b62 to b66. All appeared good. Now when I try to
start Gnome I get an error message "The application gnome-panel has
crashed."
After this Gnome will operate, but with no panels. Nautilus operates
also, looking at "help-about" confirms this is v2.18.1.
Some strange occurrences are:
When I'm is GDM, and I select "Session" it display's Gnome 2.16 as the
gnome session.
Error message at boot:
Jun 17 19:39:55 Solaris-1 svc.startd[7]: [ID 575841 daemon.notice]
failed to abandon contract 44: Permission denied
With other boots it was "contract 37" and "contract 38"
I'm not sure if it's related.
I guess I have two choices, to fix or reinstall. I would prefer fix.
So does anyone have any ideas? Which packages to re-install, which
files to fix?
