Hello Cindy and Goo.
Since I'm not very skillful using this forum, I don't know where to drop you
the note. But I tell you here that you may improve your documentation by using
graphics, for example the attached "1.jpg" illustrates the section "Adding
Devices to a Storage Pool" and the attached "2.jpg" illustrates the section
"Example 4–1 Adding Disks to a RAID-Z Configuration" of
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-2271/6mhupg6fu?a=view
Of course you may use this graphics or maybe improve them. I also include the
Microsoft Visio source file in the case you need it.

NOTE: I had to post here another thread instead of replying in the other thread
(http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=33306&tstart=0), because
I couldn't attach the files (the forum complained and told that I was not able
to modify the thread).

Thank you very much for your reply. I don't know how new is the section that
shows what operations are supported for both raidz and mirrored configurations,
but that is the answer to my questions.

I think that there is an mistake in section "Example 4–1 Adding Disks to a
RAID-Z Configuration".

Just look the black marked disks.
