Hi,
I am setting up my new Ultra 20 X86 box which comes with Solaris 10
pre-installed.
I want to use my existing HP LaserJet II p with postscript cartridge. I was
plugging this into my soon-to-be-retired Ultra 1 Sparc box by means of the
parallel port, but my new machine does not have one of these.
I bought a Belcan adapter cable to plug into a USB port at one end and a
Centronics printer port at the other. I believe this cable is acceptable to
Sun Microsystems.
Needless to say, I can't print. My printer gave me an error message, and when
I pressed "Continue", the light on the printer flashed for hours with no
printed output.
Are there any drivers I need? has anyone else done this?
