It might be easiest to simply run 'sys-unconfig' at this point and walk through the auto-setup for this machine. this step will require a reboot.

Hi, all. I am quite new to Solaris and there are so much to learn that I need your helps. I am trying to set up networking but it just has not worked at all. cat host 127.0.0.1 localhost loghost 192.168.0.29 ABC-29 cat hostname.tu0 ABC-29 Previously i set hostname.tu0 to 192.168.0.29 but still did not work. cat /etc/defaultrouter 192.168.0.1 cat /etc/netmasks 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 cat /etc/nodename ABC-29 cat /etc/resolv.conf 206.13.31.12 206.13.28.12 svcx -xv svc:/network/physical:default state: maintenance since ... Reason: start metho exited with $SMF_EXIT_ERRO_CONFIG . **** I did clear the maintenance with svcadm. I rebooted the machine or svcadm restart svc:/network/physical but nothing works. In the network-physical:default.log, it seems to indicate: "Timeout override by svc.startd. Using infinite timeout configuring IPv4 interfaces: tu0 add net default: gateway 192.168.0.1: Network is unreachable." I booted up this machine and went into Bios disabled the built-in ethernet card, and made sure there is only one Ethernet cable connected to this box and tu0 (Linksys card). I also tested by booting up Knoppix and was able to see this interface up and grabbing DHCP IP and I was able to ping from this host to other host. So my physical connection is there but for some reasons I can not get Solaris 11/06 to establish network connection. Please help.. Thank you very much. _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
