perhaps compare your xorg.conf file from belenix to the xorg.conf file in
sol10?

it is likely you will have to tell sol10 that the video device is generic
vga or svga device, since i don't think the 945 video chip has a sol10
driver.

Hello all,

I have a veryyyy unique problem. I have a laptop with 945gm chip set.

I installed solaris 9 but the gui didnt start, instead it dropped me to
console, and no matter how much i tried i couldnt get my x server started.
So i installed solaris 10....but the same problem

I than bought a belenix live cd and it booted up and kde loaded. So i was
