Hi There,
I keep on getting a kernel crash in "conskbd" and I've narrowed it down to: * Pressing a control, windows key, alt or shift * Another key (possibly the left hand side of a QWERTY keyboard) I know that sounds awfully vague, but I'm not yet able to reproduce it. They keyboard is a "Microsoft ComfortCurve Keyboard 2000 v10", model number 1047. My main computer at the moment is based on an Asus P5K motherboard. Attaching mdb to the latest crash I see: (Full log at http://www.adam.com.au/lloy0076/crash-log2.log) > ::showrev Hostname: lothlorien Release: 5.11 Kernel architecture: i86pc Application architecture: amd64 Kernel version: SunOS 5.11 i86pc snv_70 Platform: i86pc Then: > ::status debugging crash dump vmcore.2 (64-bit) from lothlorien operating system: 5.11 snv_70 (i86pc) panic message: BAD TRAP: type=e (#pf Page fault) rp=ffffff0007f843a0 addr=0 occurred in module "conskbd" due to a NULL pointer dereference dump content: kernel pages only > ::panicinfo cpu 2 thread ffffff0007f84c80 message BAD TRAP: type=e (#pf Page fault) rp=ffffff0007f843a0 addr=0 occurred in module "conskbd" due to a NULL pointer dereference rdi fffffffffbd1f348 rsi fffffffed1011100 rdx ffffff0007f84c80 rcx 1 r8 0 r9 0 rax 0 rbx fffffffed1011100 rbp ffffff0007f844b0 r10 0 r10 0 r11 0 r12 fffffffed1aacc08 r13 fffffffed1aacc38 r14 fffffffed1aacc08 r15 fffffffed1011100 fsbase 0 gsbase fffffffec2420ac0 ds 4b es 4b fs 0 gs 1c3 trapno e err 0 rip fffffffff7e0377c cs 30 rflags 10213 rsp ffffff0007f84490 ss 38 gdt_hi 0 gdt_lo 400001ef idt_hi 0 idt_lo 30000fff ldt 0 task 70 cr0 8005003b cr2 0 cr3 9c00000 cr4 6f8 I'm not sure what more I can do in mdb to help find the cause of the problem, but can anyone see something I could do that could help pinpoint it better?
