Hi,

Build SNV 72
Laptop : Tecra M5
Product : Solaris Express Developer edition.

I tried installing Solaris Express Developer Edition into my laptop having an
existing Windows partition and an unparitioned space (20 GB). During my first
attempt, it failed installing Solaris Express Developer Edition. During install
process, it showed the disk option screen with the Windows partion and unmarked
partition. I selected Solaris from pull down menu, but it failed with the
error message saying, it cannot partition it.

In the following attempt, I successfully installed the Solaris Express with
dual boot.

I came back and tried to install SXDE ( no upgrade was not allowed ). When I
came to the screen of Disk, it showed the existing NTFS as blanked out. It
showed the solaris partition, but when i tried to move to next screen, it won't
allow me. The error message showed as "Unsupporting partitioning configuration.
SXDE does not support changing partition type".

Why should install complain, when it can recognize the Solaris Partition.

Abraham
