I've just managed to succesfully boot from an ISO image on a DVD on sunblade
2000 (SPARC machine), burnt using nero on a windows XP machine, after many
failed attempts. Key points to my final success were;
a) ... open the ISO image with nero's file menu, don't just add the ISO file to
a compilation.
b) ... i told nero to finalize the disk. i think this is the thing that
actually made it work. (this isn't the default)
c) ... i named the iso image according to the original filenames. So i used the
following command;
C:\downloads>copy /b sol-nv-b72-sparc-dvd-iso-a + sol-nv-b72-sparc-dvd-iso-b +
sol-nv-b72-sparc-dvd-iso-c sol-nv-b72-sparc-dvd.iso
sol-nv-b72-sparc-dvd-iso-a
sol-nv-b72-sparc-dvd-iso-b
sol-nv-b72-sparc-dvd-iso-c
1 file(s) copied.
C:\downloads>
best of luck!
