Questions: ---------------- 1) Why RAW devices vs. files on a Filesystem? It's been at least 6-7 years since people I know have been using RAW Solaris slices to install database files. 2) What hardware architecture are you running on? (x86 differs from Sparc) 3) What RDBMS?
