Did you try clicking on the "DVD Assembly Instructions" link on the page
you downloaded them from? Yes, I know, it's sometimes easy to miss the
obvious. I missed it when I first downloaded the DVD images myself. It
would have taken you to a page with the following instructions:

DVD Assembly Instructions

After downloading and unzipping segments, reconstruct the full DVD image by
using the cat command (UNIX systems) or the COPY command (Windows systems). The
correct syntax is:

     * UNIX: cat file1 file2 file3 file4 file5 > file.iso
     * Windows: copy /b file1 + file2 + file3 + file4 + file5 file.iso

You may then burn the resulting DVD ISO image.

Also, if you haven't heard about it a "developer preview" of OpenSolaris
Indiana was just recently released. You can get it from:

http://www.OpenSolaris.org/os/project/indiana/resources/getit/

It comes as a single CD iso image, no file concatenation required, that
can be installed or run as a "live CD." It's still rough around the
edges, so if you're new to Solaris, and especially if you're also new to
the Unix world, you might want to start with the DVD you've already
downloaded first.
